Your route
Ben Driver offers a VTC transfer service between Bordeaux city centre and Gare Saint-Jean, the city's main railway station. Whether you're departing on a trip or arriving in Bordeaux, our private chauffeur will be waiting for you at the agreed time outside the station or will drop you directly at the entrance, luggage included. One goal: to get you there calmly, without rushing, without hunting for a parking space in this very busy neighbourhood.
Just 3 kilometres from the heart of the city, Gare Saint-Jean connects Bordeaux to Paris in 2 hours by TGV, as well as to Lyon, Toulouse, Nantes, Marseille and many other French and European cities. Our VTC service is ideal for business travellers who want to arrive rested and on time, or for families with lots of luggage who don't want to rely on public transport with pushchairs and suitcases.
Your Ben Driver chauffeur picks you up at your hotel (Chartrons, Saint-Pierre, Triangle d'Or, Victoire, Mériadeck, Bastide neighbourhoods), your home or your office, and drops you at the main entrance of the station with enough lead time to settle into your train. For arrivals, he monitors SNCF punctuality in real time via our tracking system and adjusts the arrival time in case of delays. Air-conditioned Tesla Model Y and Mercedes E-Class vehicles, onboard WiFi, mineral water, USB chargers available. Fixed guaranteed price, no meter, no surprises.
Traffic info
Discover Bordeaux Saint-Jean Railway Station
Bordeaux Saint-Jean station is the major rail hub for the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Inaugurated in 1898 and listed as a historic monument, this neo-classical building welcomes over 15 million travellers per year, making it one of the busiest stations in France. Since the opening of the LGV Sud-Europe Atlantique high-speed line in July 2017, Paris is just 2 hours away by TGV — a revolution that transformed Bordeaux into a nationally connected metropolis.
The station has a large bright concourse, shops (bakery, press, pharmacy), restaurants and cafés, self-service luggage lockers and SNCF ticket desks. It is served by tram lines A and C, but a VTC remains the fastest and most comfortable solution for reaching Bordeaux hotels and residential areas, especially for travellers burdened with suitcases.
Around the station, the Saint-Jean neighbourhood is undergoing notable urban transformation with new restaurants, coworking spaces and design hotels. Opposite the station, the Garonne quays and their riverside bars offer a fine introduction to Bordeaux life. The station is also the departure point for Flixbus and Ouibus coaches to Spain, Portugal and other affordable European destinations. In summer, book your VTC in advance during major departure weekends — the neighbourhood is saturated and parking is near-impossible.
