Le trajet dure environ 50 minutes via l'A10 et la D670. La route est fluide la majorité du temps, avec une circulation essentiellement composée de locaux et de visiteurs du vignoble. En période de vendanges (septembre–octobre), les engins agricoles peuvent ralentir les routes départementales et les camions de transport de raisins congestionner les abords de certains châteaux. Lors des grands week-ends de dégustation (Portes Ouvertes des Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru en juin), prévoir 15 à 20 minutes supplémentaires à l'entrée du village, qui est en zone piétonne. Le stationnement est payant et souvent complet en haute saison — notre chauffeur vous dépose au plus proche de l'entrée piétonne principale.

Saint-Émilion is one of the jewels of the Gironde. This medieval village, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999, is surrounded by 5,500 hectares of vineyards producing the famous Saint-Émilion Grand Cru wines. The underground caves extend for several kilometres beneath the city, carved from limestone at the dawn of the Middle Ages. The monolithic church, entirely carved from limestone, is one of the largest in Europe — a guided visit is strongly recommended to understand the city's history.
The weekly Sunday morning market brings together local producers, market gardeners, cheesemakers and artisans in the village's cobbled lanes. Numerous tasting caves and négociant houses offer encounters with independent winemakers for more intimate tastings than those at the grand châteaux. Nearby, the Pomerol appellation (Château Pétrus, Château Le Pin) is just 10 minutes from Saint-Émilion.
During harvest time (mid-September to mid-October), the village buzzes with energy: the air is fragrant with freshly picked grapes, tractors wind along vineyard roads, and châteaux sometimes open their doors for exceptional public visits.
