Your Ben Driver chauffeur picks you up from your hotel, Mérignac airport or Gare Saint-Jean in Bordeaux and drops you directly at the distillery, your accommodation or any other point of your choosing in Cognac. The route takes the A10 northwards to Saintes, then the N141 follows the Charente valley through the vineyards and cereal fields of the appellation. The landscape is gently rolling, green, very different from the Landes coastline — a crossing of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region's diversity.

For professionals in the spirits sector, we provide regular transfers to the head offices of the great houses on the Cognac market. For individuals, we offer themed days with stops at several distilleries and commented tastings. Mineral water, high-speed WiFi, USB chargers and 220V sockets available on board.
Traffic info
Discover Cognac
Cognac is a town of art and history nestled on the banks of the Charente, in the Charente department. Its name is inseparable from the brandy produced here since the 17th century under unique climatic and geological conditions: limestone soils, a temperate and humid microclimate, and the art of the cellar masters create an inimitable blend. The great houses — Hennessy, Rémy Martin, Martell, Courvoisier, Camus, Hine — offer guided tours of their cellars and cooperages, commented tastings and immersive experiences for enthusiasts and professionals alike.
The old town deserves exploration on foot: the Château des Valois where Francis I was born in 1494, the medieval lanes of the historic quarter, and the façades blackened by the cognac fungus — known as the 'angel's share' — create an atmosphere unique in France. The banks of the Charente invite a stroll between traditional barges and flowering gardens. The Musée des Arts du Cognac presents the fascinating history of this brandy across the centuries.
In summer (July–August), the town hosts the Cognac Blues Passions music festival, drawing tens of thousands of spectators. In autumn, the harvest of ugni blanc (the king grape of cognac) animates the surrounding countryside. The Pays du Cognac stretches well beyond the town: the tourist routes of the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Borderies offer remarkable vineyard landscapes and estates less well-known than the great houses but equally fascinating.
